The campaign strategy is very simple. We’ll start with the test object:

Z Camelopardalis08h25m08s +73d15m14s
Uvedené súradnice nie sú presnou polohou objektu ale navrhovaný stred snímaného poľa.

The goal is to learn what is already known. Thus, two expansion envelopes from the two last eruptions of the novy, which today manifests itself as a prototype of the cataclysm system with a boundary rate of mass transmission. It is also necessary to find out whether we can effectively compose images from different telescopes. This will be important for the creation of a “sharp campaign” strategy Therefore the instruction at the beginning of the campaign is brief:

All take photos from Cam in Half with exposures of 600s to 1200s until further notice. The highest possible gain, use dithering. Calibration images flat, dark to do as often as possible.

In addition to testing, this part of the campaign can already have an important scientific contribution. It is a confirmation of the lackluster arch on the left – up. That could be a remnant from the third previous blast.

The main campaign

V 838 Her08h25m08s +73d15m14s

The object was selected as one of the candidates for the recurrent nova from the article Pagnotta, Shaeffer, 2014. According to the logic, the more eruptions – the greater the chance of creating shock waves in the super-remnant.

We are also looking for an alternative object with a larger galactic width, so that we are not disturbed by galactic nebulae and a dense star field.

The data collection strategy will be refined according to the experience gained at Z Cam.

T CrB15h59m30s +25d55m12s

Another object in which Nova super-remnant was already discovered. See the Literature menu. Here we can contribute at home in ways:

  1. Show the same field much deeper.
  2. Show a much larger area around T CrB. Either there will be a larger Nova super-remnant (in accordance with the theoretical assumptions about their dimensions), or there will be nothing to prove that the faint structures taken by Condor are real.
